Today is World Environment Day! Sponsored by the United Nations, WED aims to promote positive environmental action across the world. This year's host country is Brazil, and the theme is a green economy - in their words "A green economy is described as one that results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities."
How can you celebrate WED? Check out their site for local events and online campaigns, but as always remember one day isn't enough! Figure out what you can do every day to lead a greener life, and stick with it!
